Psychotherapy

Initially, Dr. Morse will assess and interview you to figure out the best path towards improved mental health. This may not guarantee treatment with Dr. Morse as she may feel another clinician may better address your treatment needs. If the two of you decide to work together, she will utilize treatments from her professional toolbox to help you meet mental health goals.

CBT-I

Do you have trouble falling asleep or trouble staying asleep? Are you waking up too early in the morning? Does your sleep feel non-restorative or of persistently poor quality? Are you dependent on a nightly sleep aid? Are you worried about the effects of poor sleep on your health, your capability or your longevity? CBT-I is a structured and evidence-based psychological treatment for individuals struggling with diagnosed insomnia. It is considered the gold standard of treatment for insomnia above and beyond the use of medication. 70-80 percent of CBT-I patients experience improvements in sleep: less time to fall asleep, less wakefulness during the night, and better sleep quality. They also report that they feel and function better during the day. And these benefits persist long after treatment has ended.

Sleep Apnea

Do you or someone you know have difficulty with compliance with sleep apnea treatment? Accepting the need for a C-PAP machine and compliance with using the apparatus can be a challenge. Sleep apnea is a disorder that has been dubbed the ‘silent killer’ and non-compliance with treatment recommendations can result in significant health issues. Dr. Morse can help you work through your feelings and beliefs about using your C-PAP and help strategize how ways to make the treatment more comfortable.

Sleep Coaching

Dr. Morse is a sleep coach for individuals who have not met the criteria for Primary Insomnia but who may want to work on better sleep hygiene to improve their overall physical and mental health. Good sleep is a proactive way to ward off depression, anxiety, and other health problems.

Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations

Dr. Morse is an expert at diagnosing and developing treatment plans for individuals who would like more information regarding their mental health. She is also trained and certified to conduct gender affirming/transgender assessments and write letters to support or submit to medical doctors, surgeons and insurance companies.

NM Sales Tax GRT will be added for New Mexico residents.

Payment will be made at the beginning of your session. Dr. Morse has a 24-hour cancellation policy, and you will be charged the full price of the session if you miss a session without 24 hours prior notice. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment (without prior arrangement with Dr. Morse), this will be considered a “no show,” and you will be charged for the session. It is solely the responsibility of the client to keep track of your payment status and of your appointment dates and times.

Dr. Morse does not accept insurance. However, she is willing to generate a super bill so you may submit to your insurance company.
