About

Dr. Nesha Morse with dog, Daisy.

Dr. Nesha Morse is a licensed clinical psychologist, testing psychologist, and sleep coach. She obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois, and has been a licensed psychologist in the State of New Mexico since 2001.

As an undergraduate at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Morse majored in Journalism and Holocaust Studies. Combining these two disciplines led to her interviewing and writing journalistic profiles of holocaust survivors, whose personal histories and stories of trauma and loss made a huge impression on her. Subsequently, Dr. Morse became determined to learn about how trauma affects the human psyche, as well as how to address the emotional aftermath. This preoccupation set her on the path to becoming a clinical psychologist.

Dr. Morse is trained in multiple modalities that address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and has extensive training and experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition, Dr. Morse is a testing psychologist and conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations to pinpoint diagnoses and tailor treatment recommendations.

Dr. Morse is a trained sleep specialist who works with individuals who meet the criteria for insomnia disorder, sleep apnea, and nightmare disorders. She is trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). She also takes on the role of a “sleep detective” and coach for those seeking to improve their sleep experience.

Throughout her career, Dr. Morse has provided therapeutic services and support to the LGBTQIA community. In 2019, she was trained and certified in assessing and writing gender affirming letters of support for transgender persons pursuing medical treatments.

Dr. Morse resides on a small farm in Northern New Mexico with her wife, two dogs, a cat, forty chickens and two donkeys. She is an avid cyclist and enjoys hiking.
